Teesha Montague is a proud Ann Arbor native, public safety professional, union member, and community advocate dedicated to serving the city she has called home her entire life.
A graduate of Ann Arbor Public Schools, Teesha attended Northside Elementary School, Clague Middle School, and Huron High School before continuing her education at Eastern Michigan University. Her deep roots in Ann Arbor give her a firsthand understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing residents today.
Teesha has spent her career serving the community through public safety, leadership, advocacy, and coalition building. A former Michigan Education Association (MEA) member for nearly a decade and current member of the Police Officers Association of Michigan (POAM), she currently serves as a Community Service Officer, working directly with residents to help strengthen community relationships and improve quality of life.
Our campaign is building a grassroots, community-centered effort focused on housing affordability, economic opportunity, neighborhood quality of life, public safety, and protecting longtime residents from being taxed out of Ann Arbor.
Teesha believes good leadership starts with listening. She is committed to bringing people together, hearing diverse perspectives, and working collaboratively to find practical solutions that benefit all residents.
